FIELD / BUSINESS AND MBA

Take my MBA class.

Almost everyone in an MBA is working full time, frequently in a job that got more demanding around the time they enrolled. The coursework is not conceptually hard for people already doing the work. It is competing with the work.

001A case analysis has to take a position.

The most common MBA writing failure is a case analysis that summarizes the case. It reads competently, it demonstrates that the material was read, and it scores in the middle of every rubric row, because a case rubric awards marks for a recommendation, a justification and an acknowledgment of what could go wrong.

The structure that scores is unglamorous and consistent. State the decision facing the protagonist, in one sentence. Recommend one option, not a survey of options. Justify it with evidence drawn from the case itself, including the numbers, since cases carry exhibits precisely so that they can be used. Name the alternative you rejected and say why. Then state the risk in your own recommendation and how you would manage it.

That last element is where strong students most often stop short, because acknowledging a weakness feels like undermining the argument. In a case rubric it is a separate row worth real marks, and leaving it out costs more than the imperfection it would have admitted.

002What we cover.

Core and elective coursework across the standard MBA sequence, assigned by subject rather than to one general business writer.

003When the group stops answering.

Group deliverables are a standing feature of MBA programs and the most frequent reason people contact us mid-term. Coordination cost scales with the number of people rather than the size of the document, so a five-person deliverable can consume more of your week than writing it alone would have, with most of those hours going into messaging that no grader will ever see.

Two practical moves. Document ownership in the first week: who has which section, who compiles, what the internal deadline is, and what happens when someone misses it. Then keep a dated record of what you personally contributed, which is the only evidence that survives a team failure. Where a group has already broken down, we write your section to the rubric and handle compilation, merging uneven contributions into one consistent document. That work is scoped like ordinary weekly work.

004The reflective assignment problem.

MBA programs lean on assignments asking you to apply a framework to your own organization, and those cannot be written from nothing. Invented workplace detail reads as invented, particularly to a grader who has run a business, and it is worthless to you afterwards, since the value of these assignments is that they occasionally produce something you can actually use on Monday.

So the division is explicit: you supply a short description of your context and the situation, and the framework, structure and analysis are built around it. It takes ten minutes of your time and it is the difference between a generic submission and a defensible one. Where the quantitative half is the obstacle rather than the writing, the accounting desk handles it directly.

STEP_01

Send the course

The syllabus, the case or brief, and whether group work is involved. The last one changes the engagement most.

STEP_02

Take the parse

Within two hours: the term split by component, with the collision weeks against your work calendar marked if you send it.

STEP_03

Cover the collisions

Most MBA engagements are narrow: one case, one group deliverable, one bad fortnight during a quarter close.

Questions.

Who writes MBA coursework here?

MBAs and CPAs, assigned by subject rather than pooled. Finance and accounting go to a CPA, strategy and operations to someone who has worked in those functions. It matters in this field because business graders have usually run something themselves and can tell the difference between analysis and a well-organized summary of a textbook.

My group project has fallen apart. What can you do?

Write your assigned section to the rubric so your own contribution stands on its own, and handle compilation if the group has produced material of uneven quality that needs merging into one consistent document. Tell your instructor in writing as soon as the problem is clear, because documentation filed early protects you and documentation filed late protects you much less.

Can you handle simulations?

The written component, which is where the marks usually are. Most simulation courses grade the justification of your decisions rather than the outcome the software produced, and students focus on the outcome. We work the analysis and the write-up. Where the simulation requires live decisions in your own account, those remain yours to enter.

How do reflective assignments work if you do not know my job?

You send a short description of your organization and the situation, ten minutes of writing, and everything else is built around it. Invented workplace detail is obvious to a business grader and useless to you afterwards. Where you would rather not describe your employer specifically, a sanitized version works fine and we will tell you what detail the assignment actually needs.

How is MBA coursework priced?

Individually and free, itemized by component. A case analysis, a finance problem set and a group deliverable price on entirely different bases, and most people want only one or two of them covered. Send the syllabus and a figure comes back within two hours with each piece separable.
