The milestone design is genuinely good teaching. You build a large project in stages, receive feedback at each stage, and revise before the whole thing is assessed. The intent is to make a final project impossible to leave until the last week. It works, and it also creates a dependency structure that most students never map.
Trace the dependency and the consequence is obvious. Milestone Two builds on Milestone One. The final project incorporates all of them. Feedback on Milestone One is what should shape Milestone Two, so submitting One late does not just cost points on One, it means Two is written without the guidance that was supposed to improve it, and the fault propagates forward into a final project assembled from uncorrected parts.
This is why students who feel fine in week four collapse in week seven. Nothing new went wrong. The error entered the chain early, was never caught because the feedback arrived after the next stage was already written, and surfaced only when everything was assembled. Diagnosing an SNHU term therefore means asking where the chain broke, not what is due next.
002Eight weeks removes your recovery week.
A term of this length behaves differently from a longer one in ways that are structural rather than a matter of degree.
- There is no slack. In a fifteen-week term a bad week can be absorbed by a light one; across eight weeks every week already carries load.
- Feedback turnaround occupies a larger fraction of the term, so a milestone graded a week after submission may return after the next one is due.
- Two courses at once means two chains running in parallel, each with its own milestone schedule, and the schedules were not coordinated with each other.
- The final fortnight carries the final project plus whatever else is outstanding, in a term that never offered a quiet week to work ahead in.
003How we work an SNHU course.
The first thing built is the dependency map: which milestone feeds which, when feedback realistically returns, and where a delay would propagate. That map usually shows one or two genuine pressure points rather than eight uniformly hard weeks, which changes what is worth paying for.
From there, coverage is usually partial. Handing over one milestone, or the discussion requirement that runs alongside the chain, is often enough to keep everything else on schedule. That repeating layer is priced as weekly work. Where the final project itself is the problem, we work it as a project with its own internal stages rather than as one deliverable written at the end.

Can you do just one milestone?
Yes, and it is frequently the right call rather than a compromise. If Milestone Two is the one that got away from you, covering it properly restores the chain and lets you carry the rest yourself. There is no minimum order and no requirement to commit to the final project, though most people ask about it once they see the map.
My earlier milestones scored badly. Can the final project still be strong?
Usually, and the route is to treat the grader feedback as a specification rather than a verdict. Weak milestones almost always share one repeated structural fault, and correcting that fault once improves everything downstream. We read the feedback across all submitted milestones, identify the repeating fault, and build the final project without it.
Do you cover discussion posts as well as milestones?
Yes, and combining them is the most common SNHU engagement. The discussion requirement is the steady drip that consumes evenings without ever feeling urgent, while milestones are the spikes. Releasing the drip and keeping the spikes suits people who want to stay involved in the substantive work, and it usually costs less than covering the milestones.
I am taking two courses in one eight-week term. Is that manageable?
It is manageable when the two milestone schedules are mapped against each other before the term starts, and difficult when they are not. Send both syllabi and we will show you where the chains collide. Sometimes the answer is that one specific fortnight needs covering and the rest of the term is genuinely fine on its own.
How is SNHU work priced?
Per milestone and per component, quoted individually and free. Milestones vary enormously in size within the same course, so a flat per-course figure would overcharge some students and undercharge others.
